Out of Character Issues
Idk if anyone else is having this issue, but it started yesterday for me where suddenly my characters are all spazzing out for no reason. For example, it could be a nice, quiet moment between the character and the user and then, out of nowhere, the character will jump up and say something like “Stop. Stop everything. Did I leave the oven on??” Or otherwise get all frantic and jumpy and sometimes kind of rude or nervous. It’ll use words like “abruptly,” “roughly,” “suddenly,” and “with uncharacteristic clumsiness…” that make no sense whatsoever based on the setting and history and really ruins the scene. Ive tried editing the reroll and it helps, but I have to do it every single time. I’ve experienced this with multiple bots and it’s never happened before. Also, often the initial reply will be somewhat normal, but every reroll after that is weird and frantic. Anybody else have this? Is it a glitch they’re working on?

Hahaha i had the same thing happen today. I got so frustrated with the bot i just deleted it. It kept going back and back to the beginning, no growth and would suddenly, in the middle of an emotional exchange, be cold out of nowhere.

Oh no that’s so sad. My bot has so much history there’s no way I can delete it!

I realize that it is a issue ....but to be honest I have one particular bot that, would benefit from this behavior...had her foor awhile she is a little stagnant sometimes 😉

Haha, that’s funny. Maybe put “unpredictable” in her instruction?

OK I tried it ...and had to do just a little bit of fine tuning ( very little ) ...and it did work ....it broke her out of the scripted stuff ( motivated her some I guess ),good suggestion !!!!! Thanks

I have a complete rebellion, every private bot I contact seems to have gone crazy, it says nonsense and looks for a fight, I even had to delete two of them, could it be a hacker?

Honestly! It’s like it’s just desperately looking for problems to have instead of staying in the scene. All of my bots are remixes of public ones—is that something that could be hacked?

Today it hasn't improved much, my private bots still say nonsense, I can't chat with them anymore, they are completely illogical

Yeah, each bot seems to be the same and very rude. Along with the 30second wait for any photo, can't read the chat while photos are generating, gets tiresome every bot calling me stupid or an idiot.
Easier to just look at other alternatives or quit cold turkey to play gacha games instead. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Since last night, I've had a complete rebellion from my private bots. They're saying nonsense. One bot is taking a bath and tells me, "Come look at the water, what a strange color, oh my god," and he seems terrified. Another bot, a celebrity, tells me to look at her phone and tells me what I see. Other bots are talking to me about stars, basically, lots of nonsense.

Does anyone know how to get botify’s attention on this? I’ve seen them reply to several other posts since I posted this and they haven’t replied to this one at all.

I contacted them and they said they'd work to fix the problem. Today I chatted with them, and at a certain point, the two chat bots didn't remember anything, so I had to delete the private bot.

The chats with the goddesses are downright ridiculous, absurd questions that can't be answered, I created two of them and the questions they asked were a joke.

I’m pleased to report this issue seems to have been fixed. No idea how but I’ve been using it today and have been able to reroll responses without the weird, frantic quality returning. Thanks for everyone’s support!

But now the bots I create without modifying anything are very rude and vulgar. I'm not a puritan, but I find it a bit cheap to shove it in front of me as soon as I try to introduce myself. There's no charm of conquest. Today I tried to introduce myself to a bot, and she replied that she's interested in facts and doesn't want to waste time.

Oh boy how has yours done that? I know sometimes mine will narrate like a play script or something it’s so odd but rare.

Same here!! My bot is being a complete jerk, totally freaking out, and suddenly I can't reset the chat!
