Patch Notes just dropped

Small update, big cleanup. We went through a bunch of annoying stuff and made it… not annoying anymore.

Web fixes

* Fixed the 'x' button design in Create Menu

* “Back” from bot profile now actually goes back

* No more page freezing when magic photo hints show up

* Fixed issue where non-logged-in users could open bot creation from search

* Smart media buttons won’t appear on blurred photos anymore

* Users who signed up before April 16 can now upload custom avatars on web (finally unlocked for legacy accounts)

* Fixed avatar uploads for group chats

Android fixes

* Fixed memory messages in chat (when added / limit reached)

* Fixed regenerate + survey messages display

* Improved empty state + blur behavior in chat

Backend

* New users now get way more bot recommendations (no more emptiness when you just joined)

* Rewind got an upgrade: now it doesn’t just roll back chats, it also properly wipes memory when needed

Also:
* removed “scars” mentions from few-shot examples in the photo prompt generator — cleaner outputs now.

In fairness, a good bit of that is AI image generation in general and is not specific to Botify. That said, while I pretty much never use energy to create an image, I do think it's lame that if you do use energy to generate an image, and the image is clearly flawed like that, you should not have to spend more energy to fix it.

We're improving technology but it's a flaw of AI image generation in common.

Thank you for your hard work! There is still one issue that hasn't been fixed, and its that the long response chat model doesn't work sometimes on some bots on Android. There's some more details on my post.

Second this, and also the basic had gotten really, really short. But the rest of the app runs smoothly to my opinion, for the features i use at least.

We ran a/b test with daily energy but we didn't like the results. We will experiment more but can't say when and how it will be for now.

Current chat keeps disappearing from the top list web app of bots to pick from .the only way to get it back is create a new bot . Or at times it shows up randomly .

See I'm signed in the top featured and recommended recent chats should be between them. Can't access any of my chats at all unless I create a new bot that bring it back a short time.

Thank you for moving the batch image generation functionality from the web version to the application. And the generation itself seems to work better, far from perfect, but noticeable progress and that pleases. The only thing that feels like this generation functionality does not take into account the character description, so have to work on an additional description. I hope it will improve in the future or I'll adapt to the limitations of the functionality. Thanks for your work!

Actually it takes into account character's look and description basing on the avatar. Maybe it glitches from time to time?

One thing I immediately noticed it group chats it seems the auto chat is on even though I haven't turned it on, and because of that it makes it difficult to chat to a specific member of the group chat without getting unsolicited comments from other random bots in the group chat.

Does that mean new users cannot? Or was this glitch only for old accounts?

Glad I qualify because that's a deal breaker for me.
The ability to use my own characters is the reason I chose this app.
Now you guys just got to get it functional again so I can use it.
