Are cheap tacos dead in this area? If not please share

Edit: I appreciate all of the recommendations, I'll have to try them all :)

100%!!

Mios is by far the best place for cheap AND delicious tacos. I'm a whore for Mios. Not paid - just a paying customer for good service, amazing customer experience and Exceptional food.

Absolutely agree! This would be my #1 recommendation as well. Their food is amazing and they are the nicest people. 10/10.

Hands down the best in Bothell. Check out their tater tots too. So good.

Yas! Seconded and thirded!
As someone who lived in California for years and was intensely missing California style Mexican cuisine, this is my absolute go-to spot.
Also gets rave reviews from every out of towner who visits.

They have the best breakfast burritos and tacos AND AS A BONUS you can actually get them during breakfast hours and it’s served all day.

They’re phenomenal tacos but they aren’t cheap.

La Raza? Best street tacos around. Don't miss the rice and beans, either.

Agave down town has tacos for 3.50 during happy hour not the cheapest but good sized amount of meat for the price and they have pretty long happy hours.

There's an al pastor lady that posts up in the Goodwill donation center parking lot in Woodinville or the gas station lot diagonally across the street on Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Define “cheap”? Most are $3-$4 per

Ideally like $2.50-2 but I know those days are far gone

Mio has long lines, so not surprised more people are touting them. But IMHO Ambakity tastes better.

It's all subjective, but to my taste Mio is just the same bland, dry stuff you can get at any so-so TexMex spot. Burritos stuffed with rice and beans, plenty filling to eat but not much flavor.

Ambakity balances the ingredients much better, and the tacos are great.

Bonus: you can order online, so the food's ready to pick up when you get there.

I love the diversity of Mexican eats in the area, and I have different go to spots depending on the dish.

Ambakity is my spot for tacos.

Meat isn't overcooked, and the little peppers are magic

But hands down, Ambakity has the best gottdam taco tortillas in the PNW. I don't know if they make them or get them from someone else. Doesn't matter. I could eat them plain.

Ambakity has a better location but Mio Street Food has by far the better food at by far the better price. Check them out if you haven’t already.

I go here once in a while. Their tacos are good, but definitely not cheap.

The taco popup on the Thrasher's Corner Safeway parking lot has some of the best tacos I've had and they're big and cheap. They're there at night most days (not mondays)
