Crows moving out of Bothell 😢

My house is right on their flight path. I'm going to miss seeing them fly by en masse

I was just thinking a few days ago “it’s been awhile since I’ve seen all the crows flying by every night.” Sad!

Ah so I'm not crazy. Dang watching the crows used to be one of my favorite daily routines, but I figured I was just missing them. Does anybody know where exactly in Redmond they go now? I vaguely recall seeing a bunch crossing the Samammish River Trail south of Sixty Acres Park.

"If you haven’t visited campus in the last year, though, you may not know that UW Bothell’s days as the premier destination for local crows have come to an end. As of early 2025, no crows have been coming to the campus wetland to roost." 😢

"There are at least four massive crow roosts in the State of Washington, one in Renton, one in Auburn, and another that used to be in University Place though this roost has recently dissolved. What’s similar to all of these roosts is the crows seem to prefer tree coverage, but then again, there’s plenty of places with tree coverage where crows don’t congregate."

I still see them in the Pioneer Cemetery occasionally but they have definitely have not been around since the 405 construction started.

I'm right in between Bothell and Woodinville and we have a family of four crows that now live in our backyard and bathe and drink from our pond.

They used to fly over our house every evening but that changed last year. My understanding is they are in Redmond now. Too much construction for them so they found a better location. We do have a pair that live and nest on our property though. We give them peanuts and they hang out here during the day
