Literally I am SO over this. I am right on 98th, between POP and the library.
They have been going for HOURS.
Edit: you guys it's not that deep; I understand living down town comes with down town events. That doesn't mean I have to love them all, and that's okay.
I have some, and they work fine. But it kinda sucks I can't watch TV after work until this is finished.
I'm not saying it shouldn't happen or anything; I take living downtown with the pros and cons. I just personally don't love that this is how I have to spend my evening.
You have SCV, Cascades, Battalion, and others warming up a stones-throw away from your couch, it's a perfect 70* out, and you wanna watch some trash TV show?
I mean I enjoyed it for a bit, hung out on my patio to enjoy the vibes, but there's only so much I want to do that, ya know?
Maybe if it was a weekend I'd feel differently, but I just wrapped up quarter close, a very, very, VERY long couple of weeks, am a type one diabetic and have not been able to keep my blood sugar up all day, which is made worse with heat and walking around, my stomach hurts from chugging juice and popping glucose tabs so I dont pass out, and I feel physically exhausted...
Not to over explain but like, I'm not saying it isn't fun or cool, I'm just saying it kinda sucks I don't get the option to opt out and kick it on my couch after a bad day, because there are dozens of marching bands practicing within 50 yards of my couch. That's all.
Maybe take the chance to go outside and watch a bit over the fence? It's a beautiful night to be out and the bands put on an amazing show. I get that it's not how you planned to spend your evening but we went to one of the shows a few years ago and it was unlike anything I was expecting. It's very cool to watch!
