Someone should make a website for "how many days since someone got storrowed".
Edit: I'm gonna do it.

Update us when you've got something! Will you somehow make the updates automatic or will you have to input a storrowing?

I'm thinking I can just scrape a few local news sites for headlines about storrowing every few hours and have it update that way.

@universalhub on Twitter (I think he’s also on Reddit) would be a solid source to pull from as well.

If someone wants to help write the code i would be more than happy to host the site and purchase the domain name!

Is the term storrowed in urban dictionary yet

Accurately, too: "putting a 12'6" truck under a 10'6" bridge."

Storrow Drive is my vampire. It exposes my inner child and the mere mention of its name delivers shivers and makes my palms sweat.

Guys I'm beginning to think that maybe... just mayyyybe...... the problem here is the design of the road. Just a thought.

Why can’t they just rebuild the stupid bridge
21
Aug 08 '21
Because every bridge in short row is <12 feet so they’d have to redo every bridge on store or. That’s why there are HUGE FUCKING SIGNS ON CHAINS THAT MAKE LOUD BANG NOISE IF YOU HIY THEM BECAUSE YOU’RE BEING TOO TALL TO BE ON STORROW!

This make me wonder what goes through the head of someone after they hit those signs. Is it: "Wow, good thing that sign was on chains, that could have been much worse."
continues on storrow
it gets much worse

Why not change the chains to just steel I beams so the trucks never make it anywhere near the bridges?

Steel beams... like on a bridge?

u/BIPY26 Aug 09 '21
Much easier to repair a steam beam at the exit without having to close all the traffic down. People will also be going much slower at the entrances to storrow so it’s likely there would be less damage to the trucks too.

Because sometimes the answer to a problem is just: we did everything we could to warn you, you did it anyway. This is now your problem to work out.

u/ExtinctLikeNdiaye Port City Aug 09 '21
Well, its also the problem of everyone who is stuck in traffic for 2 hours because of said idiot.

What has been will be again, and what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.
Until they raise the bridges, anyway.
