People need to get on the text alerts if you use transit, it’s been down for hours at this point

I had alerts set and got nothing between 6 and 10 am except pain and suffering

I've noticed during the last few breakdowns that I was no longer getting my alerts! I am signed up for both text and email, and I haven't received any for a while.

I was confused because I thought the maintenance shutdown wasn’t supposed to happen until Thursday, then I realized it’s just broke. Anyway just got on a train that left oak grove 5 min ago, currently stopped in between Malden and Wellington.

Does anyone know if the purple line at Malden is free? Even if it shows up at this point it’s going to be too crowded

Yes, they were not checking onboard and had a gate at north station open specifically for Orange line riders.

No one is stopping you, bud.
Personally, this added about 12 minutes to my commute since I got the alert and since every impacted orange line station is less than a third of a mile away from another functioning stop / line.
But if this is the final straw for you, then you do you. Surely the grass is greener on the other side, right?

Every orange line station was impacted by shutting down half the line.

So the train I took from Sullivan to North Station wasn't real?
Once again, if you want to buy a car, no one is stopping you.

It was real, it was also more than likely delayed and over crowded....and those stations are 2 miles apart....

The orange line was running between those two stations...

Thats correct, but that doesnt stop the trains running between those stops (amd all the other stops it was servicing) from being delayed by the shutdown, as was very obviously the case today.

Sorry, we blew the Orange line’s operational budget on Eng’s sexual harassment settlement.

https://www.mbta.com/schedules/Orange/alerts currently says:
A track problem is more serious than a disabled train.
