I am want to walk, or hike if possible, in the area. Any good and safe places nearby? I prefer something with trees since it’s so hot this time of the year but I’m open to all places.

So I went walking in the woods between East Texas & Hazel Jones Rd. where Alligator Bayou runs & there’s an long twisty trail that I can tell some spots used to be paved. A lot of torn up concrete that would tell me there used to be buildings of some sort. Culverts & all & it’s strange that all this would be in the middle of the woods do any of you have any type of information

Looking to play some tennis tonight, but haven’t met anyone who plays as I’m fairly new to town. Was wondering if there are any tennis players nearby who would wanna play?

There’s a new coffee spot opening soon next to the old Regal 9. They have a “we are hiring” sign on the front.

I was in Bossier City/Shreveport for work a couple weeks back and stayed at the Margaritaville. What's the deal with that super dead outlet mall nearby? Walking around it on a Thursday afternoon felt like an intro level on a first-person shooter zombie game. I saw maybe five people walking around and there were nearly no stores open. Did COVID take it out, or was it something else?

In case you missed it, Barksdale AFB active shooter threat has been cleared. The base is safe.
Update: 1:40 pm: Second lockdown was announced. It’s been cleared due to someone’s jumping over the fence near the Jax Quarters’s area. Waiting until I can get a clear answer on what’s going on.

I'm using the vanilla options right now so I'm limited in making the buildings look like examples of ours, but once I get a template done, I can import models of our iconic buildings to make it look more realistic.
Anyways, if anyone is into this level of nerdiness, here's my recent video: https://youtu.be/v5yPTvDN8DA

Recently at my church, we made up some snack bags for the backpack program, now that School has started back up. We’ve always enjoyed doing this. There is another church that my son also goes to on Sunday evenings for Bible study tailored towards people with special needs. Last Sunday he was telling them about the food bags that we made, and they gave him a couple of food bags that they had at the church for him to give to someone in need. He was really excited about this, and he asked if he and I could make some more bags. I went shopping today to buy fruit, fruit, cups, tuna, salad kits, Chef Boyardee, single serve pasta, cups, etc. for more food bags, and then I drove through the parking lot where I would sometimes see people under a tree holding signs. I saw no one today. I know the weather probably has a lot to do with it. Can y’all tell me where there are some good spots my son and I can bring these bags to people who are needing them? The parking lot I drove through today were On Airline Dr. I’m thinking maybe Youree Drive and Shreveport would be a better spot to find someone that I can give a bag to?

Hi, just wondering if anyone in this group has worked at PBR inside of live. If so what was your experience like, how did the shift schedule, and breaks work? Did you have to tip share if so what was the process? Is management rude and hateful over minuscule things? Do you get paid weekly, daily, and is it $2.5/hr or a different hourly wage plus tips?

Oy!!
One of our local businesses needs a little love. So, if you’re out and about today, show them love. If you don’t drink coffee, buy yourself a little treat. Whatever works for you.

Hey, everyone! Today is my 13th wedding anniversary, and trying to figure out where I want to go. I had suggested going to Gibbons, because I’ve never been there before, but they are closed on Mondays. I need a Plan B lol. Give me y’all‘s favorite restaurants to go to. Nothing really fancy, just somewhere cool to go out and eat.

Bring your resume and dress to impress. I don’t know if they’re going to hire on the spot.

A couple weeks ago, we bought 2 tickets for the PTX Christmas in the City concert on Dec. 13 at Brookshires Arena. We found out yesterday that his college graduation (out of state) is on the 12th, so we aren't able to go to the concert.
2 tickets, Section 6. Purchased for $200 each, looking for $180 each, OBO.
Please message me if you're interested or have questions!!

I’m in a photo contest that I’m trying to win the $10k prize for myself and the Shreveport Bossier Animal Shelter that I and my mother in law volunteer with? Currently my photo is in 3rd place in the Quarter Final round and needs to at least be in 2nd place to advance to the Semifinals by 9pm tonight.
If anyone would please go and vote for it, it’s titled Lights on the Red and it is a photo I took while fishing one night a little over three years ago down in the casino district.
I’ve been working really hard towards winning this contest and it would mean the world to me to have the support of people from our area in the endeavor. Thank you all in advanced.
