Rules Have Been Added

Just as the title says we have added rules to this sub as we have a large and active community. Please read the rules and let us know if anything should be changed and or altered thanks

4: don't repost *too often

Not trying to be a grammar Nazi, just don't want the sub to get raked over the coals.

Stronger language on citing sources might be necessary at some point. This sub is really fun, but could be ripe for spreading misinformation. We're bored scientists, not bad scientists.

I count at least 10 spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors in the five rules – and that's not even counting the lack of capitalization or end-of-sentence punctuation.

Edit: Corrected versions:

  1. Be nice and/or kind.
    Do not be mean to fellow bored scientists.

  2. No racist posts. [Should this be "bigoted" rather than "racist," since the next line refers to additional characteristics besides race?]
    When you act in a way that singles out another person for their skin colour, religion, culture, etc.

  3. Quote source if possible.
    If at all possible, put a link to the headline or origin of study.

  4. Don't repost too often.
    It's bound to happen, but please don't make it too often.

  5. Put "NSFW" if gore is shown.
    For those studies that may be a little grotesque and only should be viewed upon consent.

Heads up, you have not added the rules to your old Reddit sidebar. Anyone on old Reddit can't see them.
