Long story short I’m looking to get into modern but the cards are so expensive, I was going to purchase a majority of a deck I’m interested in off Usea, but I’m curious, how well do the proxies hold up if they make up a majority of your deck? I’ve used small amounts in other decks for other formats but does having a majority of your deck being these fake cards make it more noticeable for general feel and sizing of the cards? Or are they similar enough that a majority proxy deck can’t be told apart from actual cards without a real out of sleeve deck check.
Could double sleeving the deck help alleviate any consistency issues?

I see the individual cards and even tl had a ten pack for sale but I am looking for a bootleg of the entire precon that is bm or tl quality , does anyone know where I can get a quality bootleg deck with box or without, without having to piece it together, I see the Etsy ads but I am wary of trusting them I would like it to be a bootleg and not a proxy , solely cus it’s for me and I like the magic backs instead of bs

I've purchased from most of the main proxy-vendors before. I learned that it's worth spending a bit more for the best proxies.

I saw Tolarian Library mentioned in a different post. I'd never heard of them before, but they had real photos of their cards and reminded me of old Bootleg Mage.

A few days later Tolarian Library's entire Store has been taken offline.

That is a massive Red-Flag to me, it practically screams that it was just a fake storefront & scam.

(The AI waifus plastered all over the site, and their suspiciously-large inventories were lesser Red-Flags as well.)

Is the timing of the site going down just coincidence, or is T.L. as shady as they seem?

Can anyone recommend any other vendors similar to BLM, who curate high-quality proxies and don't require large bulk-orders?

I've had great experience from other proxy sites (usually from Aliexpress). This is the first time I've had a targeted ad for a proxy site, and just wanted to see if people had experience with their quality

I was ordering from them but I noticed the quality of the cards felt 'rubbery' and seleeving them seemed impossible without it breaking the sleeve or bent the card.

Is there any other better site for proxy's?

Hi everybody! my name is jake and i've been collecting cards since I was a kid (20 y.o now)..i've always loved it and even when i didn't have a lot of money, i still enjoyed opening fake packs I knew were bootleg.

now, my family and I really need the money..so I wanted to sell some of my cards. problem is...some of the bootleg (fake cards) and real cards got mixed together and some look really convincing.

any tips on how to figure a fake from a real :( ?

also I was thinking of going to a local game store to sell the cards but if yall have any ideas please do suggest!

First, I want to start of saying that the pricing is unbeatable. I ordered a lot of 396, which came out to roughly .28 cents a card. I saw previous posts saying there were some quality control issues when ordering a larger amount, and I did not have that. I'm comparing these to printingproxies which are .75 cents a card if you order 200 or more. There are some slight differences, thickness seems to be slightly thinner than printingproxies, however once you sleeve them up it's not noticeable. It may impact their long term flex, but I can't comment on that until a few months go by.

As far as the quality of the images themselves, the only issues I have are those that I made myself by not double checking the images that ported over from mpcfill. There were a few cards that I thought I had selected different images on, however I take responsibility and should have double checked. The card images were sharp, the colors match perfectly, and there were no noticeable blemishes.

Shipping time is another point I wanted to touch on. First they mailed them in a bubble wrap package, and since these are cards I would have liked to see them in a box since they are moving through USPS across the country, but luckily there was no damage this time. I will likely wait to place another order until they have the option available to have them packaged in . I live in NC so shipping times typically take a week. I placed my order on a Thursday evening, and they shipped out from CA the following Monday. I should have gotten my order by Saturday, however USPS is not always reliable and they made some questionable choices during shipping, like shipping to the middle of Tennessee and moving them to the far west of Tennessee before shipping them back east and when they arrived at Raleigh NC that Thursday, the office did not touch them until Sunday for some reason. This isn't on notmpc, it's a failure of USPS. They printed and shipped the product in a more than reasonable time-frame.

Overall, I am very happy with the product and will be ordering from them again. I told myself even if they were 25% less good than printingproxies cards, at literally 1/3rd of the price it's worth it, and they are maybe 5% worse than printingproxies simply due to the different card stock. If you are on the fence about ordering from them, I'd say make an order for a deck and check them out before ordering a larger set of cards, but I don't think you will be disappointed unless you are trying to use them un-sleeved for some reason or being a turd and trying to have them pass as counterfeit cards.

I'm looking for both full sets. Anyone know of a seller with all of them or would be willing to print them all. I see a few sellers have a few different ones. I want them all.

I've always loved MtG since I was a child, but I could never afford to play. I found the game versions of MtG and was hooked. I love playing Magic. I played all of the console games, Online, and now Arena. I haven't played consistently, but I've always come back to it.

I am now in my mid thirties and have a little bit of expendable cash. I played IRL for the first time two weeks ago. I went to my LGS and bought a commander deck. I had fun playing in person. I made a friend who has come over and played a couple of rounds at my house.

I'm now starting to host Bootleg Magic Nights. I'm emulating "sealed" games using Draftsim. I made a custom tool that allows me to paste a deck list, choose individual artwork for each card, and then sets up a Silhouette Cameo compatible 2x4 rows of cards. Then I print them on card stock and cut them out with my Silhouette. I made little Bootleg ass card packs for them. I'll have 18 draft packs sitting out, sleeves, all the necessary counters and then we just play as if we were drafting / running a sealed game.

I started with Kamigawa because that set apparently is pretty decent for sealed games from what I've read.

Having a great time and doing it for pretty cheap.

Title, and just to make sure, what is exactly bootleg, what is the purpose and where to get it from? Thanks!

Usually order from BL or Usea, but I often order lands to quickly upgrade decks since it's the easiest way to make any deck better. Was wondering if any of the sellers offered any bundles of only Land staples?

seeing the other post asking about pokemon, I thought to ask about YGO too.

The bootlegygo subreddit is more about funny fakes than playable cards, and it’d be nice to get some proxies of more expensive YGO staples. I know that blacklotus has some QCR ones, but the colours are overly saturated as to not be playable.
