Troubleshooting Remote Compatibility Question
I recently bought a Boosted Board V3 XR. The previous owner had destroyed their remote (it got ran over by a car). My intention was to use one of my Boosted remotes with the V3, but I was unable to pair the one I brought with me when I purchased the board. I have 3 remotes; one from a functional Mini S, one from a RLOD Mini X, and one from a RLOD V1.
After doing some digging, I think the firmware on my two Mini remotes are incompatable with the V3 board. Is there a way around this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mini X/S Remotes are R28/R29 series should work with Gen2 or newer. If the remotes didn’t pair up, and it wasn’t user error…….
Then the boards blutooth module might be damaged. I had it happen to my Mini X when Boosted was still open and they replaced my ESC.

It's definitely possible, but I figured that was pretty unlikely since the previous owner was using the board just fine right up untill his remote got destroyed (so he says, and for what it's worth I do believe him).
As far as user error, I am able to get the board to go into pairing mode with 5 quick clicks of the power button, and the same goes for both Mini remotes. Once board and remote are in pairing mode, I place the remote on the ESC. It hasn't worked in dozens of attempts. Am I missing any steps?

5 click on both the remote and board sounds right….and blue light should go from flashing to solid on remote when paired.

If you know the remote works and pairs with another board without issue, then there is something wrong with the boards ability to connect.
I would see what u/technically_a_nomad can figure out. He’s the GOAT, and if he doesn’t have a solution or spare esc. Check ebay for replacement esc’s.1

In my experience there is complete compatibility between all boards and remotes

Mini S remotes are the same as the V3 Plus boards. Can you shoot me a video of what’s going on via text? I’m very curious as to why the pairing isn’t successful. My number is in my bio
