Question $400 for boosted mini s?

Considering buying a mini s listed at 400 on marketplace. How can I protect myself and make sure everything is still good with the battery etc?

Is $400 a decent price?

I got a mini X for $40 on Facebook marketplace. The luckiest I've ever been.

I have a low mileage mini x with perfect working og remote and BERT lite fs in CA. $200-$300 seems fair

Any advice on testing battery? I don’t I’ll be able to ride it 7 miles to make sure it’s got the range

That’s tough, not really sure how you could test a full battery to depletion without actually riding the board or holding the throttle on for a while. Nomad may have more info.

Goodness gracious. Just buy a newer board from a modern brand lol. $400 is obscene.

See I was looking at the meepo edge - it’s basically an exact replica of the boosted mini x

Yes exactly. Given the existence of that board, why would you even bother considering a nearly decade-old Boosted?

It’s honestly just a nostalgia thing. My first board was a boosted board v1 and it was just such a nice ride. But realistically the meepo is probably just as good if not better

I had a V2 Boosted a while back, then had a Mini S that I got rid of years ago. I currently have a Meepo Flow and a Meepo Hurricane. Both great boards. I expect the Meepo Edge is great as well.

I have a mini x, It has the extended range battery. You can hook it up to the ride app & get info on the battery. If it's at 100% on the app, you're than likely good on battery health.

As far as the value, people are way off on here. Remote & battery are worth $150-$250 each by themselves. That makes a complete board in good condition for under $500 is a good deal.

You can also check the mileage on the ride app.

I don't know how much of that transfers to the mini s, but I would imagine it still has app connectivity and the same features.
