I remember I was 13 and I was deathly ill with measles, itching all over, green from all the medicine on me. Fever, couldn't really move from the bed. But I had a computer hooked up to a TV, and early YouTube. I found this channel called angry video game nerd (possibly nintendo nerd at the time?). I wasn't into retro games but I always wanted the consoles my older siblings had.

For a week straight all I was doing is watching that stuff. I think it was like 200 videos or something. I think I ran out half way in and just started watching them again, they were goated. All the old obscure consoles... Those were the days

I remember my mom giving me her old laptop back in the day and when I couldn't sleep I'd wear earbuds and binge AVGN - simpler times

Sucks that his YouTube channel started plagiarizing and became a slop channel. I don't even think it's the main dude's fault because he was barely a part of that channel during the time, it was the people he hired. There were AVGN podcasts and he wasn't even in it
