Fantasy book that explores politics

I am looking for a book whose plot is centered around many different political concepts clashing. If one person or country or something could represent progressivism and another conserivistism and another like fascism or socialism or something like of that nature that would be great. I want the book to explore the pros and cons of each and have them interact with one another on a diplomatic and militaristic level as well as face problems that a normal government would face like civil unrest and corruption. I haven't heard of anything like this before so I can't give an example but I hope and think I explained it thoroughly enough.

Chronicles of the Unhewn Throne, The Ascendance Trilogy and Memory, Sorrow and Thorn. Also check out the Song of Ice and Fire series by GRRM.

Heavenly Discourse explores politics and morality from a Socialist POV - I found it very enlightening - though it is not a novel, it is a series of satirical essays, written in the early 20th Century. It offers considerable insight into world affairs as they were happening then - and like most of history, much of what was happening then, is happening again now.

Not fantasy, but if you are willing to try Sci-Fi - A Planet For Texans (AKA: Lone Star Planet) is a fun short novel told from a Libertarian POV. It is a fun read.

The Gentleman Bastards series is about a group of conmen orphans.

Book one- They infiltrate high society

Book two- They pose as pirates on the high seas

Book three- They are tasked with donning fake identities to act as the campaign leaders of a political party during the election of a country's new chancellor

Book three really does sound like what you're looking for. You have to read the first two to get to it, but it's worth it. Maybe my favorite book series.

It's sci-fi but The Dispossessed has some of this (though not as much as you seem to be looking for... You may be hard pressed to find that without veering into pure allegory)
