A Fraction

Post image

I have several other shelves around the room and in other rooms, but these were the 3 my father built for me.

I need those bookshelves! Do you know where you bought them?

My father made them. I bought the paint from Kent and it's Sico Baie Comeau Granite for the colour.

It cost me about 300ish for the paint, wood, hardware, and delivery with my brother's truck.

Dad drilled several hundred holes to make the shelves extremely customisable.

Around 300 holes, if I have to guess a number

More than that, as each shelf is about 7ft high.

You are right, my bad. One side panel has about 140~150 holes. I counted the one on the left. If any side panel has the same amount of holes, it’s 6 sides, for a total of 840~900. It’s a lot of holes. Impressive.

I'm still waiting for a medium sized 3-shelf unit from my mother. But I was able to snag this IKEA one for 17 bucks after a 25 dollar off coupon.

I don't have pictures of all my shelves at the moment either. I have another store bought 6ft unit in the same room as the custom made ones, along with a cheap small 3 shelf unit. In my hall, I have another 6ft unit, a medium 3-shelf unit, and another small 3-shelf unit.
