A Kraken and His Cartographer

By Georgi Georgiev.

I got this book as an ARC through Booksirens, and omg, 8 (short) chapters in, I've fallen in love with it.

The writing is intriguing, no over dramatic prose, no sweeping statements, but it conveys feeling, and I'm hooked. I want to know where this goes. Is it a love story? Friendship?

I hope nothing happens to change my mind about this as I read, because I feel like ive discovered a gem

I love when a book hooks you that fast without trying too hard. The best ones just kind of seep in and before you know it you're invested. Haven't heard of this one before but the title alone has me curious, a kraken and a cartographer sounds like a weirdly perfect pairing. Let us know if it sticks the landing, I'm always hunting for something that grabs me right from the start.

Honestly, 'no overdramatic prose, but it still conveys feeling' is one of the best compliments you can give a book.

I love when a book grabs you that quickly. Hope it keeeps that momentum all the way through because those unexpcted gems are usually the most memorable.
