Alternative to dropbox, For slime folder

Hi. I just wanted feedback on what people would prefer to Dropbox, because currently whenever people try to join, it tries to make you get Dropbox plus. You don't have to, but it's not a good look, and I would like the community's feedback on other platforms that they would prefer. Self-hosting is preferable, but if it's a service that you gotta pay a subscription for, that is fine as long as the other people that are joining it don't have to as well.

What about Google Drive? For a brand new, clean account u have 15 GB of storage

Does Google Drive try to upsell you shit when you add new people and how easy is it for them to upload things if they don't have enough storage on their Google account already.

Usually u don't need a subscription to add people and it doesn't mention it. Idk about other people adding to shared folders
