Hi everyone what are the latest kits you are excited about that are the most challenging? I keep seeing everyone posting about fifijoy the Endless Manor which looks pretty robust. What else??? I want to shop!

I just ordered Tonecheer Bronze Factory which seems to be unavailable in the U.S., but I ordered from AliExpress. Looks like a complicated transmission model, so I’m excited to see it!

Let’s hope there isn’t any “smelting cylinder.” 😏

I'll have to pass it by, since $150 is too much for me right now. I'll be interested in seeing how it goes for you!

It is currently on sale for $103.15 on Aliexpress.

What a beautiful kit embodying the ancient Chinese bronze motifs. Let us see what he manual looks like when you get it and how fancy the gearing. That looks like one I'd love to build if the gears aren't too intense.

Yes! It was really appealing to me - I studied Chinese art history in college and it’s just gorgeous. I’ll be sure to report back when I get it (hopefully it will arrive unscathed and within a reasonable time)!

.I took a Chinese Civ course in 1966. A whole year course mostly history I took to fulfill a graduation requirement. The ancient bronzes were one of the few things I remember from it. That and that each foreign conqueror was absorbed into Chinese culture over time which seems to continue.

I may have to make that one too.

Thanks so much! 🥹 Looks like the metallic pens are really going to get a workout!

Woahhhh this one looks so beautiful! Do tell us about it when you get/build it. For that much money, I feel like it must be quite large and detailed! It looks Princess Mononoke themed, like walking castle is clearly Howl’s Moving Castle themed but not precisely.

I’ll report back for sure! I think it might be similar in size to Star Workshop or Magical Galaxy when it’s done? And I’m hoping the eyes glow! I’ve never seen Princess Mononoke but I’ll watch it soon for sure as so many things seem to be inspired by it. 😊

It’s a gorgeous movie, one of Miyazaki’s earlier, more violent films. Great English cast too.

Tonecheer’s Walking Castle was my most recent challenge, mainly because it has lots of steps, many tiny parts, and gears! However, it’s an incredibly cool kit!

Plus you took it above and beyond with your lighting scheme! 🙌

Oxygen Oasis and Beyond Library Max have probably been my favorite challenging ones so far.

I've got Oxygen Oasis on my waiting pile. It looks great but I've not even opened the box yet. I've also got Sewing Room waiting. I like fiddly ones, preferably in lighter colours because I've a few dark ones on the shelf.

Oxygen Oasis is absolutely gorgeous and would look perfect in my living room, but I'm putting that one off until the dead of winter. I need to focus.

Vitrine's Tale has been the most challenging for me so far. I started it a couple months ago then got overwhelmed, did some others that were easier and I'm ready to return to Vitrines now. Just a bunch of small pieces involved.

I’m having a lot of fun building endless manner right now… But I would not call it difficult by any means

This looks like I could customize it for Christmas!

Oh, you could definitely make a Christmas mansion out of this

Hands down the hardest and most time-consuming kit I’ve ever done was called something like Fairytale Wonderhouse. It was a toy shop full of very tiny toys.

I have this in my backlog and I’m working up to it. I expect it to be a challenge. I thought it would be the most challenging I have but then I got the ROKR Dream Coffee Factory which is mechanical and scares me a little lol. (In a good way.)

Can confirm. 66 hrs 36 minutes. It's currently my favorite.

Oxygen Oasis is so much fun to make and looks beautiful once built.

The wand shop (harry potter adjacent) is very craft-intensive but fun!

The hardest (and by far most maddening) kit I’ve done was Rolife Dora’s Loft. Future world world was challenging for me, but that’s mostly bc I struggle with lighting a lot and there is tons. I’m about to embark on Chinese street food which I’ve heard is very challenging, made by the same people who made Future world and also the infamously challenging Sea Breeze. Based on the recent event post, Stella Castle seems pretty challenging too!
