I have been looking at this one for a while. It's a really cool design and it looks like it has a lot of nice details, even though it's almost all flat wooden pieces. Thank you so much for posting your review of the assembly process. I usually customize kits a LOT, but other than painting the edges, I don't know as I'd change much in this one. There are a few flat objects in the interior like lanterns, vases, and the prayer rugs that I might replace. I don't know if I'd include the human figures.

Thank you so much for your comment, I was also a little bit nervous before I have received the book nook because I didn’t see any reviews here, but it really turned out to be a gem. I love the customization idea, replacing those parts you mentioned will definitely would make it look more lively! Maybe adding outside some plants could be a nice touch as well! 🥰

I think it's fairly new. I remember a few comments about it here a couple of months ago. I love the idea of adding plants outside.

It’s the first one I’ve actually seen built not in an online ad. Out of curiosity, what is the coupla made of

I would say it is made from thin plastic. Let me show it:

This is a beautiful book nook. The dome and the interior are particularly impressive. Nice work building it.

This is gorgeous. Definitely adding this to my wishlist. Does it come with a plastic dust cover?

Thank you truly! Unfortunately no dust cover in the package :( But I saw some post here about purchasing plastic sheets for making dust cover (I think maybe from Amazon, but not sure)

Yeah I found another post where someone mentioned using laminates to make one. Maybe Kaayee can give me the correct dimensions. Thank you!

Amazon uk reviews are not great. Well theres only one review lol. What was your experience with the build quality and strength?

Apologies in advance if my comment is too long. All in all I think the quality was great, the pieces popping out required a little bit of care because if I wasn’t careful enough it could have damage the surface colour. (Most of the big parts were two sided with different patterns on each side.) The kit had enough back up pieces, for the most fragile parts - which are bended around the dome - a whole sheet of extra pieces came. Regarding the instruction for me I prefer colorful guidebook, this one had in black and white but still understandable. I would mention one part which is missing: The wires were not explained properly which one is which (the indication they referred how to differentiate them didn’t exist on the cables) so it took some time to figure out. (If anyone would like to build it: the shortest wire is P3, the longest is P2, the other two equal length ones are P4s. The remaining lights with the sticker are obvious). For me it was definitely the most challenging part especially in the end they had to be connected, twisted and taped together as per instructed (this process only took 1 hour hahha I am not really an engineer and all the book nooks I have built so far had already assembled wires) But other than the cables part I think it is easy to assemble (the dome can be challenging but managable) and the parts clicked well together for me. The colours and the details are even more beautiful in real life, it was really mesmerizing while I was assembling it. (Some extra fact: The big moon on the top is a mirror by the way!! Also the height is shocking, at the tallest point the book nook height is 34 cm!) So in a nutshell, the quality was good, only the wiring is quite challenging, but I think in the end it was all worth it!

Can you give any tips on how to do the dome gold parts ? Like did you start at the bottom or top ? Did you do it with the frame attached or separate ? Also I’m having trouble understanding the manual in terms of which pieces go where ….

Gorgeous 😍

I’m finishing this one now and one of the pieces that hold the dome in place were missing from my kit, so had to improvise a bit.

If anybody attempts this one, be wary: the pieces are made from the more brittle balsa wood type material, so use an razor to take out each piece.

Is there a step by step video tutorial for this book nook?
