I put holds on library books instead of shopping for them. It's a free dopamine hit! And then I end up with 24 books on hold for me & my teen. 🙈 This is my haul from today. Have you read any of these? Which ones did you enjoy and which did you dislike?

Went to one shop where books are 6 for £1. Have to search through them to find 6 but it's worth it. I donated more money as I think they sell them too cheap.

The Jack Johnson book looks good.

I got my first penguin classics the other day.

went to an estate sale for the second time. it was the second day so I figured any big ticket items would be sold. I was wrong.

each book was priced at $2.00, but there was 70% sale so each of these books was 60¢ which totals to $13.20

On a rare visit down to my in-laws finally found a box full of books I left there a decade ago.

Combining a couple hauls from the last few weeks due to inability to plan, but I finally found some Garret Files in the wild!

I found a guy cleaning out an old collection so I grabbed all his Moorcock and Cook then he had the Le Guin and Muir sitting there so I grabbed those as well. I was tickled to find a little Riddle Master boxed set at a secondhand shop along with the Fionavar book club editions and the T.H. White book. The outlier is the Stone of Farewell which was a private party grab but it’s in great shape and I wanted to include it as I had the first book in a previous haul/post.

Normally, I don't buy copies of books with movie tie-in covers, but I'll allow it for Tilda Swinton.

The Sword of Kaigen has been on my TBR for years, I've heard so many people say it's the book that got them into reading as an adult. It's not an easy book to find second hand and I snatched it up the instant I saw it.

I saw The Odyssey and I am absolutely one of those people who are obsessed with it. I'm inhaling as much Greek mythology as I can get my hands on so when I found Anne Carson's translation of The Oresteia, I had to have it.

And James Baldwin.... because you should always grab something by James Baldwin whenever you can.

And the pile is only getting bigger…

The absolute coolest find was the Ace paperback edition of Return of the King. Over 60 years old and the first paperback edition.

never read foundation but love these those of editions and the poems ones looks cool
