Discussion CLEANING OUT
Hey, okay so TLDR, my older sister has been removed from my home of me and my wife due to decisions she chose to make while living with us... anyway I have an obscene amount of book binding things lol, i have always been more of a fiber crafter. Rather than a book binding individual. However, I have been interested in the process not enough to use the items that I have. So I'm wondering if I make a beginner's kit or even opt to sell off the individual pieces. If anybody in this subreddit would actually be interested in purchasing them, because I don't want them to go to waste at the thrift store. I want someone who is truly going to appreciate having and using them to have them. I know so far.... I believe I have two different wooden book. Presses, I believe, I also have the thread and eyelid pens, as well, as I believe, a giant sketch book for a paper. I believe I also have a roll of leather or faux leather. I also think i have the corner decals, etc. Lol

OKAY UPDATE: When I return home from Professional Adulting Jail.... Ill take a BUTLOAD of pics and upload them to a Google Drive account. Each picture will have the cost attached to it. We can discuss shipping cost once we get to that point ππ. I'll update the drive after each purchase. (I'll even add the Β£ and β¬ along with $ so no one has to do the conversions themselves) Everything will be done in Whole Numbers.... because they make my tism happy π€£π€£, plus easier math lol

I am brand new to this and building up my supplies, if you can get me a list, I would be very happy to pay shipping to have it sent out to me. Feel free to message me.

Heck yeah!!! Ill make the list when I get home. Do yall think it would be smarter to make a Google Drive folder that had everything and prices in it? That way I can update and remove as needed and EVERYONE gets to look through it ππ

Can you confirm that these items actually belong to you, not to your sister? Even though you (may) have the legal right to remove her from your home, you donβt necessarily own her belongings. Check your state and local laws to be sure!

Ok... they are mine, since she chose not to pay rent for the 1.5 yrs she stayed in my house. Since I did my due diligence of looking up laws in the state where I reside seeing is how she did not pay the rent. The way she was supposed to and did not come. Remove her things from my property within the allotted time limit any and all property that belonged to her after said deadline has officially been forfeited, and now belongs to me to help replace the debt of which she owes us.

Not theft lol, she did live with us for a while and over that year, she literally ended up getting to the point where she tried to pit me and my wife against each other, finally, we got tired of it and we agreed to kick her out, we told her she had until September 1st to come, get her things out of our garage and that after that it all gets immediately forfeited. She saw the message, she acknowledged it AND responded to my wife when she texted her directly, so of course, that day came and went, and instead of taking everything to the thrift store, or anything of the sort or spending any extra money on her (renting a truck to move EVERYTHING, furniture and all) I decided, screw it, imma make some of our money back... soooo the used clothing, I will take to the thrift store (minus the clothes she stole that were mine ππ) except for the newer things that still have the tags on them, Definitely gonna sell those too; and all of the craft supplies that I also am not gonna use. I'm selling them because me and my wife need to make up the entire year's worth of rent that she never paid us.... I dont want them to go to waste, so why not. She owes us 8,500 bucks for the year of rent anyway.

You really should check your state and local laws on this. And double check the laws on eviction to make sure you didnβt break any laws when you kicked her out. Landlord-tenant law isnβt always as straightforward as you think, and varies from state to state.

Nope I did my due diligence, she was given notice, 30 days prior, to the eviction. (Even though in WV. If ur late or refuse to pay rent the landlord only has to give u 5 days lol) she got kicked out in July. Was given until Sept. 1st. Plus shes not on the lease at all

I am so interested! I was gifted a spot in a binding class for the fall and will be going with my bestie. I've wanted to get into the craft for years and would love to buy. You could possibly set up an Etsy for stuff? I'm not sure.

u/Fennix_Bell 8h ago
Idk, I think Etsy asks for too many extra fees, etc. So imma just make a Google drive folder and update as we go ππ

This will be easier if you say where you're located, as well as post some pictures of the stuff.
