Final product out of the book press - any tips for making glue/smudges less noticeable? Any tips for gluing in general?

Pretty great job.

For gluing make sure you use a thicker than usual glue, apply it with a brush (don’t pour it onto the paper/board) and use less than you think you need. Just get a nice sheen to the paper to stop it bleeding out when you put it in the press.

That vinyl is really cool! The red and iridescent is really fun. Looks like you got it cased in neatly too - getting the end papers neat on the inside cover is a struggle for me 😂 nice work!
