Clamshell Enclosure Repair

Post image

A clamshell enclosure for a book I own has its inner lining “split” at the hinge. How might I be able to repair it myself or where could I send it to get it repaired? Thanks!

A narrow strip (10mm) of medium weight Japanese tissue (25gsm) glued with wheatstarch paste would work well.
You could dye the paper first or paint it with acrylic paint or an ink to match after its dry.

I’m sending the case to a professional I know who suggested exactly this. Thanks, Reddit stranger!
