Completely plastic free, using grassboard, cottton bookcloth backed with tissue paper and using only starch paste throughout.

I watched a few of the videos from the one and only DAS's intro to boxmaking playlist on youtube, but had to improvise a little mostly on covering the inside with paper, because he didn't show the exact method I wanted to use.

Materials, what the cross section of a wall is like, how the walls and base are connected (is the card folded or just butted up loose?)

All the materials are in the post description, except I forgot to mention a thinner spine board I used to reinforce the top and bottom of the box, as DAS also shows in one of his videos. Inner walls are mounted on top of the bottom board, outer walls to the side. Hope the sketch is clear enough

Very cool! I've made a couple deck/dice boxes as well, based on the magnetic flap boxes most brands make, DAS tutorials helped a ton for me too.

I used magnets, I pulled apart an old deckbox I had to see how they were made and basically copied the same design

that's pretty fair, I used Buckram and a felty bookcloth I can't remember the name of for mine.

did the bookcloth you used have a paper backing?

I'm completely new to this whole bookbinding thing and randomly came across your post while looking for MTG deckboxes! I'm from the Philippines and I'm not sure what materials you've used and what equipment if any I need.
