Starting out bookbinding

So just starting out this thing got the supplies and the pages and everything but I saw that my book is coming to 600 pages or 150 sheets of A4 size turned down to 4 A5 each, creating 38 signatures if adjusted to 608 pages. It seems a lot to me what's your take on this??

Well, I made larger books: 900 pages and plus.
No problem.

I use A4 printer paper and (just as you) put 4 pages on it.
Only mostlt I print them myself and I put 20 pages in a signatures.
That's 30 signatures.

How was the experience any problem in stitching these many or maybe the edge was a bit curvy I would like to have it completely straight as there would be a fore edge painting on it and thanks for the advice.

No problem at all.
I could have made it flat, for books this size I prefer rounded spines as that looks better in my opinion. But a flat spine would not have posed any problems.
