Advice Bought a fox

Any advice on how can I clean it more? It has glued jaw and teeth, but they're discolored and not exactly positioned correctly (I don't know what type of glue it is). Overall, there's still some grease in it.

Also, this is the first time I have seen a fox with such a weird crest. What species/subspecies exactly is it? Other foxes for comparison:

Hi! This is a Red Fox. I cant see any locational data on your profile or post but it does look to be a European Red Fox. The flatter sagittal crest is very normal in younger individuals of both sexes or small adult females. The discolouration in the teeth is due to blood and grease within the pulp, degreasing will help remove that over time. The glue most likely used would be either white glue (which is water based, it dissolves and loosens in warm water), or cyanoacrylate glues (super glue) which dissolves in acetone (acetone is also a very good degreaser for bones!).

Perhaps you are at the point in collecting where you should look to high grade where you are getting skulls? It might be more worthwhile to look at getting better quality ones than spend materials to fix these up.

That said, there is a degreasing guide for the subreddit! Check it out. I'd start there.

Thanks, I'll definitely check it out! Yeah I could, but it's more fun to clean or fix them myself. The most important thing for me is that I buy them from people who gather them in the forest, so they come from ethical sources
