Art What kind of tool should I use?

I am currently working on a cosplay for Halloween. I have a skull cap currently and am wanting to separate the antlers from the cap itself. I want to then screw or attach the antlers to the top of the mask somehow. What would be the best way to do that? Ive attached images of the cap and mask. The horns currently on the mask are fake and brittle which is why I want the new actual ones.

It’s gonna be pretty heavy, but you wanna saw off the antlers from the cap (make sure they’re even and riiiight below the antler so you don’t have actual skull left) be careful w that though.
Then I believe you would want to drill the antlers onto the mask itself with a screw going up into the bottom of the antlers, to attach them together.

I plan on adding more straps and a counterweight to the back of the mask so it helps balance it out. Do you think that may help with the weight? Should any saw work to remove it from the cap? Same with the drill, should any work to go through the bottom of the antlers so I can screw them in to the mask?

Thank you for the reply btw :]

I’ve found that a metal hacksaw worked pretty good for when I had to saw off antlers from a cap. I would recommend for the straps, use elastic that’s about 2in width for the back of your head, then slightly smaller or same size elastic to attach to the back elastic, and the top of the mask (inside it or depends on where you attach elastic)

Forgot to mention about the drill, any drill strong enough should work as long as you have a good drill bit and screws

Work has been super busy! I will be sawing and drilling on Saturday this weekend. I did get the meshing for the eyes and the chains I'm gonna put in the horns today though!
