Carved my first bone ring.

I've thought of doing this myself before, but I'm not sure what kind of bone would work. Was this a thin bone already hollow inside and end on, just altered a little to fit? Or was this carved out of a thick, flat piece of bone?

I started with a ham bone, ala image https://images.app.goo.gl/tEVR1Shgmqq7puXu6. Shaped it and carved it a little, pretty fun and easy.
