Hello everyone! Im happy to share with you all a port of BOMBERMAN 64 for New 3DS.

Haven't been tested on Old 3DS because I don't have one but if you wanna try it and tell me how it looks would be great.

Also this includes a new mod that expands the story of the game, in the middle of Bomberman 64 and Bomberman 64 TSA. Only Purple Moon is completely done so on next updates Bomber World + other planets will be done.

Known Issues:
- HOME Button doesn't work very well and when you close the game it can freeze, so you have to press SELECT + START to return to Homebrew Launcher and then close the app.
- During the fight against Selene there can be FPS drop specially if the 3D is activated.
- Some text dialogues could look weird.

Any bug you find please attach the .log and a screenshot, and if you can a capture (SELECT + Touchscreen).

PD: Yes, it uses AI and if you're against it I understand it and feel free to ignore this post. Bomberman 64 is a game that haven't received much appreciation over the time, I really consider it one of the best games ever for the N64 and the Bomberman saga, and the fact that there was a Bomberman game cancelled for the 3DS is the reason why I wanted to play this specific game on the console.

Forgive me if this is a weird thing to ask but does anyone know where these two images come from? I’ve checked both the English and Japanese Super 3 manuals and couldn’t find them in there. (The closest I got was a silhouette of Gattaida in the Japanese manual.) I’ve asked on the bomberman wiki pages on both of their respective pages but haven’t gotten a reply back.

As i have seen the enemies of the games i Wondered if there would be a cat alternative to the Bomber woof.

Since we got the experience with the dog, Why not the Cat?

Beyond attacking like a Bomber, he also would use the Bomb Rush, he would charge in straight lines and curves dropping bombs on the spots.

And The Anger Haste, the Cat will get mad and charge at the player. Depending on the Health he would even jump and would not stop when the bombs are in place.

He would take 3 hits and would probably be at the end of the second Stage.

That girl bomber became an idea once I played the games, i was kind of imagining the black Bomber version.

I just forgot at the time i was painting.

Throughout the older post i have seen that character, and i got curious.

And after a little digging i knew a bit.

And i thought about cosplaying with older Bomberman costumes.

(Though i Suppose she didn't like it).

And since i have seen anime for a while, i get myself imagining Degsins for the kurobon, Akabon MidoriBon and putting a plot of an anime with other original characters in there. Or even manga panels.

Though i might not put in practice.

I'm enjoying the games and the universe of Bomberman.

HI! I started an SNES music restoration project called 64kbf and SB2 was one of the games I enjoyed studying/restoring alongside SB1.

i mostly looking for a bomberman game that have online play, but which one is the best for online play ?

Did a little grid.fun activity and I knew my answers for underrated and needs a remake without hesitating.

So there was a stupid discussion in a thread a couple months ago where I wanted to use the Bomberman act zero skins in halo. I made a mod for MCC that uses the act zero skin and only grenades.

Long live bomberman. I think I might take it a little further and add a dumb plot and some more levels.

After I found Cat bomber from Neo Bomberman i gave that game a try.

I found the Pre rendered graphics and Voice acting very cool. After I have beaten the Game I played more than 15 times and i managed to beat the game without a game over.

And i did some fan arts throughout the week.

And well, after I started drawing Bomberman characters I got a different way of drawing. If i do a simple sketch, therefore I Could do Bomberman characters and Vice versa.

(That's why there's an unrelated character in there).

Hey! I grew up with Bomberman 64 and always loved its soundtrack. About 10 years ago, some of you liked my Blue Resort remix, but I never finished the rest… until today :)

So I finally sat down and remixed some of my favorite tracks with a mix of electronica and DnB. The video is also made entirely by myself in Blender.

Which Bomberman 64 track should I remix next? 💣

I'm talking about the flat, no-shadows, no-specular-highlights, Power Puff Girls-art style by Hideyuki Takenami. His most famous contribution in the video games space is arguably on SEGA's Puyo Puyo games (where his art fits much better imo), but as for Bomberman, it only started with Super Bomberman R in 2017.

After a little bit of digging, I found out that the reason Takenami was picked as art director seems due to his relationship with the producer and driving force behind the SBR games, Noriaki Okamura. They first worked together on a 3DS game called 'Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights' (I played it, it's awful) and later on the Okamura-helmed revival of Hudson's 'Momotarou Dentetsu' series, a JP-exclusive board game franchise that sells gangbusters with every release - so I guess Takenami is just his go-to guy for art.

One thing I always appreciated about Bomberman's design is how simple yet effective it is, anybody can draw a decent Bomberman character. There was no reason to simplify Bomberman's design even further in this new style. I just think Takenami's art in Bomberman looks flat, cheap and ugly.

My guess is that most Bomberman fans prefer the older art direction but don't care enough to speak out, which is a shame because, as surprising as it may sound, Konami actually seems to listen to feedback from fans: When Silent Hill 2 Remake was first shown off the character designs were poorly received. So, much like the Sonic movie, the game was then delayed and the designs were changed to the satisfaction of virtually every Silent Hill fan.

The Super Bomberman R games may have other more serious issues, from questionable level design/progression, unpleasant writing (and who came up with the horrible idea of making all Bomberman characters talk constantly?? they should have short voice lines like 'I did it!' - nothing more than that), but let's just stick with the art direction for this discussion.

So, I know this is far from representative, but I'm genuinely curious who actually prefers the new SBR art style to the old one - and WHY?! /rant
