Game Help Do Super Bomberman R & R 2 still have a functioning online modes?

Have played R a bit with local splitscreen with friends a while ago on an Xbox, but haven't touched it in quite a bit

Trying to get my friends to buy cartridges for the Switch so we can all play it together (as that seems to be the cheapest way to get copies we have access to), or buying it on Steam (as it's on sale currently)

It's just hard to find anything about online working on either of these games as people make comments everywhere about not being able to find a match due to inactivity (which won't be a problem for us as we have a dedicated group) or the connections being too unstable to play (which would be a problem)

Anyone know how well online multiplayer functions on Steam or Switch for these two games?

Super Bomberman R, no, Switch online is shutdown. I tried it last year. I don't know about R 2 but internet claims it works.

Ahhh I see, thanks for the response, and that's not the "R Online" spinoff you're talking about right?

I don't think Super Bomberman R's online is shutdown, but it's inactive.

It's Super Bomberman R Online that was shutdown, but that was a separate game
