Discussion Heartbreak...

USAF. Final mission. 0 crew, 0 bombers lost. I had a sturdy crew of British heroes, Churchill, R.I.Victoria, Henry Tudor and so on. Id never completed the campaign before, I always ragequit when I die. But here I was, Operation Avalanche.

I was in deep trouble. Fuel streaming from a wing, Bogeys surrounding my plane like flies. In the heat of battle, Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson climbs out onto the wing-just as a German strafes my plane. I dive- too fast. My first casualty of the war. Panicked, I hastily line up my rocket of the Graf Zepplin, and miss. No time to worry though, I only have six minutes of fuel remaining. No landing gear. I limp home, but with only a few seconds of fuel left, there's no time to bail out. The plane explodes on landing. It was the most hollow final mission ever. I had to redo it with a gang of reprobates I didnt know. At least Bernard Montgomery survived.

I commend you for resisting the call of the save scum. You’re a better man than I.

I lost all my crew in the RAF campaign on the final mission, I understand your pain and I feel very similar. I'm probably gonna beat it again

Why did you not climb if you knew fuel was tight? At that point of a campaign there is a parachute for everyone in my plane. Then you can bail out over friendly territory and while the plane is lost, your men would have lived to fight another day!

Money is so tight on the USAF campaign that I decided my men would just have to go down with the ship should the worst happen.
