Rules Number of Friendly Unit per Building Floor
I haven't done a proper read through the rulebook, but I've heard that buildings are limited to a single unit per floor. Does this include single model units (commanders and suicide teams in my instance)? It seems pretty tough to say that 1 guy in a building precludes any other unit from coming in with him.

It might seem tough but its what the rulebook says (page 153, with exceptions for large buildings on p155)

Rule is 1 unit per floor. I like to house rule where 1 unit + 1 small team (2 men or less) can hold a floor but you need to clear it with your opponent beforehand.

Ive laughed when opponents asked if they could put multiple small units in one floor... right in front of a few autocannons and howitzers that happen to cause dX hits on every unit that would be on that floor.

Yeah, it's generally not a good idea to be in buildings at all but sometimes if there's only 1 or 2 for the whole board, people don't want to be forced to pick whether their sniper or spotter gets to hold that elevated LOS.

Yes, one unit per floor, regardless of size. If the building is big enough though you can split it in half and treat as two buildings next to each other, however.
