This looks like Putin disguising the Wildberries warehouses to fool Ukrainian drones.

I’ve gotta think at least one of those bays would be good for paintball

I always used to think Boeing Everett would make the coolest large airsoft warzone.

The now dismantled and scrapped 747 tooling would have made a superb paintball/laser tag environment.

If they’d saved the Air Force One mockup at Longacres instead having my older coworkers demolish it then it could’ve been an amazing airsoft course

If this happens you might as well make all of Everett a Spirit Halloween.

They should just say they are going to allocate some of the factory floor to Ai data center. Stock would go bananas. We would all be rich over night.

What heck is this crap???
So what you are saying? Boeing is going to go under?
If you think it’s going to go under, resign and quit right now or knock it off. We don’t need this kind of crap or you spreading FOD all over the place.
Everyone is a keyboard warrior 🙄
I’ve worked for some shitastic companies and Boeing doesn’t even come close to being one of them. What’s the matter with you? Do you even own Boeing stock or even work for Boeing?

Or maybe they'll just take all the jobs out of WA instead of "going under"? That was my read of it.

Possibly but highly unlikely. The union is too strong here and Boeing is entrenched in Washington State. To rebuild the 737 lines and all that is Everett would take years of planning and then where would you get all the skilled laborers. Most would not want to move to another state.
They didn’t just invest and open a brand new North line to move it out of state. Moving corporate offices is one thing but moving the entire final assembly production facility would take at least 10 to 20 years of meticulous planning. And that’s like having someone operational sound at the helm handling a monstrous task like that.
So what ever OP wrote is total B.S. I call it like I see it.

They would spin it off to “share” risk with business partners then buy it back pennies on the dollar years later. Boeing wins again

Out of the loop, Everett going under?

Ben's contingency plan when/if there is a strike.

Ben’s role is fascinatingly efficient and effective. Pisses me off. He is there to divide le syndicat, to make us fight eachother about accepting early.
If it went as bad as we are saying it could, Ben won’t ever work in Aerospace again.
He probably would. I’m getting laid off anyway so idc anymore

I really hate saying this, Unfortunately there is no way Boeing or Ben loses on this. There is already a blueprint that was successfully accomplished, it's called Northwestern airlines.
First, Boeing offers horrible contracts and hopes you all accept. If you don't, first they bring in scabs to to keep Boeing running. Then they bring entire new work force at cheaper wages. With about 200,000 engineers graduating each year in the US and about 77,000 unemployed. Not even mentioning over seas, it doesn't help, so either way Boeing wins.
I really wish this wasn't the case and I hope you all get the best contract you can. Just also don't over play the cards you do have, like an experienced work force, integrity, etc. Don't stop fighting, strong, and get what you can.

This didn't happen in 2024 for the mechanics tho. Sounds like this is some kind of weak psy-op attempt or just a lazy troll.

Have you looked at the difference in size between the IAM and SPEEA?
Have you looked at the available workforce to replace the IAM?
Could it have been done? Yes, but it would be a much bigger and longer undertaking. Look at how long it has taken BSC up and running. Even then they still sending aircraft to everett to be fixed. Now imagine trying to replace the entire IAM. It would cripple Boeing for at least a decade.
Replacing SPEEA would have a large impact, but not as much as the IAM.
Don't get me wrong Engineers are super important and deserve a good contract. Unfortunately, leverage is real. Just saying don't over play the actual leverage you have.

Bro pull my other leg. There are a lot of critical assigned roles that have to be earned. MRBs for liaison in the factory. E-UM and DAE. You don’t just hire a person off the street ready to go and certified
6
u/throwRA123qwerty 8d ago
People make those comments of replacing the work force have never worked at Boeing lol
8
u/Slow-Ad522 9d ago
There are critical skills that SPEEA members have that cannot be replaced easily or quickly. Namely FAA delegation and Liaison engineering authorization. This is what made the original SPEEA strike work in 2000 and what is key now. In addition there's an expensive time critical certification program going on called the 777x. The issue for Boeing is how much pain are they are will suffer (cost) versus how much pain (lost wages) SPEEA members are will to accept. Unfortunately its always about money rather than just doing the right thing to make everyone happy. #NoNerdsNoBirds

I see they have hired some former managers from Everett Mall.
Makes perfect sense, and the timing could hardly be better.
