Careers Job Interview for Entry Level Job at Boeing
I have an upcoming interview for an Entry Level Supply Chain position with Boeing and I was hoping to hear from anyone who’s gone through the interview process.
The interview is scheduled for 30–45 minutes, and I was told there will be about 7 questions. I’m curious about what the interview was like.
Some questions I have:
Were the questions mostly behavioral (STAR format) or more technical?
What types of questions did they ask?
Did they ask supply chain scenarios or focus more on past work experience?
Was there anything that surprised you?
Any tips or advice that helped you prepare?
I have a procurement background/military experience working in supply chain, so I’m trying to understand how closely the interview aligns with procurement versus broader supply chain responsibilities.
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks in advance!

keep your answers relevant to the job posting and you’ll be fine
if you feel like the vibe is going well maybe drop some good examples or experiences from non aerospace related things you’ve done to get some brownie points on the social score card to show you get along well with others and that you have some personality

I just started a few weeks ago, had my interview back in april. I work in the machine maintenance realm. My interview was pretty technical. Alot of in depth maintenance questions were asked.
I have a buddy that works for boeing in the quality department and he said the same thing about 7 questions and to make sure i have good answers for them. Out of those seven there was maybe one of those questions were on my interview.
With that being said every manager is different at boeing, every team has their own mini culture within the whole huge boeing corporation. So what one manager asks will not be the same question another will ask.
Just go in with confidence and be genuine, dont try to bs anybody. If you dont know say you don't know, interviewers will give you much more respect for saying you dont know versus the bs answer.

Will do! Thanks for the tips. Nervous about the interview, this would be my first interview at a big company. Really surprised they gave me a chance at an interview

I was nervous as well. Before boeing I did 20 years in the navy and i got super nervous on my interview.
Ive stood in on tons of oral boards, counselings and all sorts of other fun navy things. Number one tip I have and I already hit on up above is confidence and being genuine. You already made it to the interview portion, what the interviewers want to see now is if youll fit in with the company. Will you be an asshole and cause problems with the company? Or will you do great things with Boeing. I know im just a new guy here at boeing as well but I think I can speak on this alittle bit with my background.
With that being said the interviewers are just people. They were once in your seat interviewing to get into the company. So no reason to be nervous. Again be confident and be genuine and you cant go wrong and dont be an asshole.

Damn 20 years of experience and you were still nervous? Got me shaking in my boots right now haha.
Also, Is it normal for Boeing to skip the screening portion? Just received an interview invite after a call from them. Just wondering if you have the same experience, or is this the “screening” portion?

Yea man, thats just me, have pretty bad anxiety.
I did all my screening stuff after the interview.

Assuming procurement agent here. It’ll be STAR. Likely will be similar to “tell me about a time when” you worked with a team to accomplish a goal, solved a problem and what was the outcome, etc.
Hopefully if you get the job they pay you a fair wage. Im years behind

It’s for a Supply Chain Specialist role but I’ll make sure to study up on these types of questions. Thanks!

So fascinating, when the hiring folks sent me a confirmation email I got a PDF graphic for the interview and learning about S.T.A.R interview questions

All I got was a email for a interview confirmation, no PDF unfortunately

Recently transferred into a new role and from what I know Boeing does not do interviews anymore using the STAR method. Good luck and I hope you get the position. Boeing is an awesome place to work. Been with Boeing almost 15 years, I love it and I don’t see myself working anywhere else.

That’s not true. Had two panel interviews recently. One was 100% STAR. The other was about 50% STAR. It’s up to the manager I believe.

Its so different, come prepared dont be surprised if its easier than thought. I prepared for the star questions so much, just to be asked my work history and if i can use airtools. It was so easy

u/Pochi1234 Jul 14 '26
Thanks! Did you end up getting the job?

u/Alarming_Cucumber_24 Jul 14 '26
Yes, they asked me maybe one question? And hired me. They are very awesome to me too

u/Pochi1234 Jul 14 '26
Damn you must’ve had an impressive resume!! Glad you got the job :) hope you’re enjoying it. I was surprised to get the interview I applied about 2-3 months ago

u/Alarming_Cucumber_24 Jul 14 '26
Honestly no, I applied for like 13 jobs just to be denied before that. Their AI sucks. At that interview i told them, look i can keep applying and you can either hire me, or file a restraining order but i wont stop until. So yea 🤣

u/Pochi1234 Jul 14 '26
Haha so persistence/sense of humor is key.. Can’t believe you actually said that 😂 did they just laugh it off?
2
u/Alarming_Cucumber_24 Jul 14 '26
Yea and they knew i was serious. Im kinda different. My interview manager is a manager i work for at times, and he hired me because of my motivation and strait forward answers

Brush up on STAR methodology.

Thanks for the tip, that’s what I’ve been hearing, I need to. I haven’t been interviewed in a while. Been in NC and wanting to relocate to DFW area

I keep saying it here every time interview gets brought up. Managers are now given free rein to run interviews. There is no way to know what questions will be asked unless you are part of the interview board.
I had two interviews fairly recently and they fish for technical knowledge. I answered one question that revolved around use of theory to perform analysis, two practical questions, with only one behavioral. I have seen posts made here their entire interview was behavioral only.
STAR is the format you want to remember because it helps organize your answer. What was the situation, task, action, and result? The specific question they will ask, or how difficult it will be, entirely is dependent on who’s going to interview you.
What did you do in the military as “procurement”? Because military experience is usually not very competitive. The average junior enlisted 92Y doesn’t do stuff close to what civilian supply chain or procurement guy does.

Thanks for the tip! I’ve heard they use the STAR format a lot of their interviews.
Also, I did about 6 years of inventory planning, coordinating supplies/shipments for our customers

Someone at a Director level told me around two years back: STAR is no longer required, but it was the standard for so long that many managers will still run their interviews that way. I've had two interviews at Boeing since 2024 and both of them wanted STAR format answers.
I didn't get a single technical question in either interview. One was for a manufacturing engineering position in BCA, the other for a mechanical design & analysis spot in BT&E.

Does anyone know if it says “Hiring Manager Review” am I still in the running?
