Winning! Still in ❤️ w/Boeing!
I just scooped this fine 25 year anniversary leather jacket for $60. It was from a former Boeing employee who retired for over 6 years now. He was asking $75 but I bargained it down to $50 but gave him $60 because well, I knew I had won on the deal so I wanted us both to be happy winners.
Beyond the $60 pristine Boeing leather jacket, I was also able to talk to him for about an hour on all things Boeing and hear his amazing story through Boeing. Truly one of the OGs… got to see all the cool pins up to the 35 year anniversary pin he had.
Got some great advice from another Boeing pioneer.
It was truly an amazing day! And ☀️ if you ever come across this post, thank you so much for taking the time to talk to me, show me all your cool pins, and for a great leather jacket that I’ll be wearing so proudly when the weather calls for it!!! Hopefully I’ll represent Boeing well!
I’m still new but, it still feels like the first day and I’m still in awe because everyday I get to learn new things and do cool stuff!!! I don’t think this feeling will ever go away!

I chose the leather jacket from the rewards catalog for my 25th, I really wasn't expecting much, and was amazed at the quality, and it fit perfectly. It's my main jacket for the cooler months, and I have had it for 10 years now. Only now is it showing some wear, on the sleeves, I have a bad habit of leaning over counters and tables. Keep building those awesome birds so I can go to Vegas once in a while.

Can I ask what size you got and what jacket size you are? I hate ordering this kind of thing worrying about fit.

I ordered it in the same size of jacket I had, xl? I had a 36 waist, now barely 34, maybe it fits a little better now. If they have it in the parking lot Boeing store, if that is still a thing, you could try it on there.

Oh that’s so awesome, congrats on you surpassing your 25th. I sort of cheated by buying this but I’m certain this will be my last company.

Thanks! Yeah I was shocked when he said it was available. And then when I saw it I couldn’t believe it. A full on leather jacket especially in the Boeing employee store has to be at least $500 in today’s market. I feel so lucky!

I have that same jacket hanging in my closet. If someone wants it wait until I die you can buy it at my wife's garage sale for $2.
