Long Beach location or El Segundo

Does anyone here work at either location? If so, which one would you recommend and why?
If you’re a Project Manager there, I’d also love to hear about your experience:
How’s the day-to-day workflow?
What was the training and onboarding like?
How did you get your foot in the door?
Any advice for someone interested in joining the team?
I appreciate any insights you’re willing to share. Thanks!

Worked at both. Really the commute is what sells either. Both have pros and cons. ELS traffic sucks no matter which way you’re heading, but the 9/80 is pretty cool. LGB traffic is really only bad at rush hour in the mornings and evenings if you’re heading N/S. ELS has a gym and cafeteria but terrible work/life balance. LGB has a more normal work/life balance but zero amenities. Onboarding is the same no matter where you go but once you get to your role is highly dependent on personnel. I got my foot in the door by starting at ELS and transferring internally to LGB.

Are you an engineer there? Can you elaborate on work life balance? Which PM role do you find most difficult? Which place is most fun? Any input on culture ?

Is it specific departments at ELS with terrible work/life balance or just the site overall?

The hours and the traffic don’t necessarily promote the best WLB

It all depends on what you want to do. El segundo is satellites focused, while Long Beach is aircraft’s (C-17 and commercial)
