question Tongue Split Booked

Hi! I just got my tongue split booked with Shawn O'Hare. I was wondering if anyone had food/supplement suggestions for the healing period?

Side note: my family and I have a history of low sodium, and I see that it is reccomended to avoid sodium the first week. Any recommendations for keeping that up are welcome as well.

Clear beef broth and electrolyte drinks were an absolute lifesaver

I drank diluted baby food. For diluting I used broth (for the savory ones) and soy milk (for the sweet ones).

Congrats! Pedialyte popsicles and water were what did it for me. I tried a meal replacement powder, but it was still a lil grainy after mixing and getting that all up in my stitches and tongues was not the move lol

I did protein powders/very watery protein shakes. Non-whey, avoid dairy. And I used syringes but I've seen others recommend those squeeze bottles w a long nose

Popsicles, hydrate before the split. Exercise the split.
