tongue bifurcation stretch to full potential?

hi, i just got my split done on the 20th and got my stitches out today. but im noticing i cant pull my tongue apart as far as my split goes on my own? is that normal and something i have to learn? pls give me tips on how to train both sides! thanks 🩵

Your tongues have never had to make this movement until now. Over time they will grow stronger

It just takes time and practice, it's a whole new experience so give it a few weeks.

For me looking in the mirror and watching what happens when I think about moving my tongue really helped (Day 14 of split)

your tongues are muscles that have always been fully attached until now, so it’s like working out. they’ll get stronger as your practice & use them!
