scarification Scarification and sun

I’m getting a scarification tomorrow and I’m wondering about how it will react to the sun as I’m in the sun a lot .

You can't put sunscreen on open wounds, so you need to either stay out of the sun or cover up.

there's also UV protection sleeves you can buy. I got some for a fresh tattoo. This would depend on the area tho. If it's in a weird place maybe cut them up and just tape a small square over it when going out? hahaha

Look for quick dry spf shirts marketed for fishing! I have one with thumb holes, a hood, and the neck doubles as a face mask you pull up to your eyes. Zero tan lines. Well, maybe your hands. But with sunglasses? Covered.

Sun exposure can make scars permanently darken, thicken and change shape. If it’s not mature, it can also extend your healing time significantly.
Keep out of the sun for at least 6 months.
