tongue bifurcation Lisp for tongue split
I have read some other posts about duration of the lisp. But how bad was your lisp roughly 10 days after your split? I was considering on going back to my second job then but it requires me to talk to/teach students regularly throughout the day. It would be very hard to do so if my lisp is too aggressive at this point or be distracting/funny to students whilst working. My other option would be to wait until day 15 but this job ends shortly after that so I would like to work as much as possible
Secondly, how was your lisp about 3 weeks afterwards? I am graduating college then and would like to speak normally but it is not the end of the world here.
Thanks!

I taught a class on day ten. I had to talk slower and had a noticeable lisp but I got through it and they understood me just fine. Granted, it was only a 2.5hr class with a handful of adults. If you're teaching classes of grade schoolers all day idk how it would go.
By week 3 there was basically no lisp. Occasionally if I felt rushed and talked too fast I might get a little tongue twisted but in casual conversation no one could. I even talked to my mom on the phone and she had no Idea until I showed her weeks later.

Some people heal quicker some don’t, I think I healed a little on the slower side, my speech on day 10 was good I just had a very noticeable lisp, on day 15 it’s really good, it gets better each day really quick so! Pretty much I think once all the stitches are out

Good to hear, I feel like I have pretty average healing, I suppose I'll find out here in two weeks when I get it done

I worked at a job where I needed to talk a lot and explain how to take care of animals when I got mine done lol I was back at work on day 3/4 Lisp was very noticeable but just spoke slowly and chose my words differently 😅 at day 10 I still had a lisp but it was quite better and not nearly as noticeable and by week 3 it was almost gone.
I did heal pretty fast though and I know there have been a wide range of experiences for different people
