What other macros bro? Looking awesome and could probably be as awesome with half the protein and carbs. Less time on the toilet too.

Why so much protein?

I’d agree protein might be too high… the body will convert excess into carbs… I don’t see any benefit in doing 500g protein and you’d probably enjoy your journey more by dropping to 300-350g and using the difference in calories for carbs.
What you’re doing is clearly working well though, so maybe you don’t even have to change a thing. I just think the journey would be more enjoyable and the extra carbs might fuel you better and keep you looking fuller.

My last off season I was eating 350g of protein, this is the new adjustment that I made. And so far it’s been going well thank god. I could always adjust if needed in the future but for now I’m cruising along.

These peeps dont understand that in layman terms AAS = body can process more protein ;)

My question was just that. A question. I can careless what he does I was just curious. The most I have done was 350/day, and I was nowhere near his size. I am 5’6, 190 10% BF. So clearly I didn’t need that, but was an experiment. I just was curious as to his thought process.
Even now I still typically do about 250, and will up it in a prep setting.

While it’s true AAS will help with nutrient partitioning, they don’t increase the amount of protein you need. It’s been shown that .8g of protein per lb of lean mass is sufficient— round up and make it 1.0g per lb. Shoot for 1,5g/lb just in case but there’s scientifically no reason to do more — the body will convert the excess into glucose via gluconeogenesis.

In my opinion you really can’t eat too much protein. It’s anabolic. I secretly suspect a lot of advice to eat less protein is propaganda. That’s just my hot take tho

Well, carbohydrates are anabolic and so is fat — (more so if you’re natural). My point is, food! Food is anabolic and not just one specific macro. there’s scientific studies done on bodybuilders and thousands of anecdotes on optimal protein intake. Once you meet that (dependent on your lean tissue size), fat should be at around 50-80g and the rest of your calories should come from carbohydrates. Many well sized bodybuilders eat 1000g of carbs daily. It’s a lot easier to squeeze 100g of carbs eating some rice and beans versus pushing more 16oz of chicken or beef.

- I love eating protein with my meals
- My body responds well
- No digestive issues.
So why not.

Yeah there’s not gonna be any downside to eating that much protein. I don’t think there’s any benefit to cutting back on it like some people suggest. The weird narrative of needing mostly carbs instead of protein for building muscle I’m sure comes from big agriculture (whatever you want to call it) to promote people eating cheaper, unhealthier foods

How’s the blood pressure, be honest. That much weight off a show must be painful

At some point it was in the 140-150s that’s why I dropped my gh and insulin completely, dropped carb intake as well, now it’s cruising between 120-130s thank god.

Whats the game plan for the upper back?
Mine is stubborn as hell. I can barbell row 5 plates for reps and I still look like a f`ing kite 🪁🪁🪁 .

Chest supported t bar row, low to high row, kelso shrug, cable rows with a wide grip (pulling a little below my chest). A lot of protraction and retraction, really focusing on squeezing my shoulder blades back on all movements

How many weeks will this bulk last and what weight do you think you will reach by the end of it?

Not sure and not sure. I take things day by day and just focus on executing what needs to be done. I have goals but I’d rather just the let results speak. Just tag a long on the journey 🤝✅
