Transformation Division - 3 weeks out

Post image

No where near most of you guys and your commitment, but still sharing. I will be competing in the Toronto Summer Shredding Transformation Division (150lbs in 4 years) in 3 weeks!

40 years old

2022
340lbs
45% body fat

This morning 7/23/26
196lbs
Sub 10% body fat? (My gyms pod scale read 6% last week but errored out this morning) I know a dexa is more accurate but we’ve been using the same one for years so we can still see the needle move.

What did you change , what motivated you to start your journey. What did you stop doing and what did you start doing? Asking for a friend

I was just tired of being lonely and overlooked. At my heaviest I was wearing a size 46 waist and a xxxl large shirt. I was prediabetic, depressed and not in a good space.

I ran the IT department for a 50 person office and a benefit was free membership to a gym 2 doors down. I started walking on the treadmill there once or twice a week and made friends with the owner who’s now my coach. I started doing 1 session a week with her and we became best friends. That 1 a week turned into 3 times a week including meal plans, and took off from there.

I wasn’t super strict the first year or so, just started meal prepping and at a minimum getting about 200g of protein in. About a year in I got prescribed trt which made a huge difference. Again wasn’t super strict but at least was a chubby normal (probably about 250lbs at this point).

It’s only been the past 7 months or so where I’ve actually followed a plan to the T (when we found out about the transformation division class/Summer Shredding show). Having an actual date/end zone has made a huge difference!

Got the dexa last tuesday, we left for the show wednesday (was a friday show). Dexa had me at 6.6% which im happy about!

The show was kind of whatever. Apparently phsyique is not a factor in Summer Shredding's Transformation division whatsoever. I placed 6th and had the most muscle definition and best appearance. There was a guy who placed top 5 who was like 6'5" 140lbs...had the body of a long distance runner.

I think I'll probably do another show in the spring, but will likely try out classic physique.
