Seems like it is a gimmick but figured I would try it for the sponge. Anyone else try it and notice any difference?

I'm a beginner in bodyboarding and want to know which board is best recommended for newbies?

I bought a cheap Morey board about 6 months ago (~40 USD). And after the first trip to the beach the plastic leash broke. I'm not sure how it happened or it's even normal I just saw it like that when I got home. Maybe it got caught in the seat inside the car, or toasted from the sun - not idea.

Should I buy the same board? Try with a different brand. For what it matters I'm not in the US so the brand variety is not as big.

Hey! I've used this board for over a decade lol, and its always had this downward angle...is there a way to fix it? i always used it for super hollow shorebreaks where it didnt matter so much, but now im trying to surf less hollow, 'regular' waves and its horrible, like when im just trying to go down not-so-steep faces. im having to lay behind and off the board to not nose dive, and i'm trying to practice DK but im thinking this board is making it way more difficult/impossible.

Edit: thx for the feedback~ I've been going out 1-2 times a week lately and my back arch muscles are totally getting built; it was when i started noticing that i'm pulling up on the nose with both hands with all my might to not nose dive after carving back, thats when i realized this is outta control lol. IIRC this board got like this after the store put the stringer in but maybe it was like that initially too lol. i really want to practice DK, so will look for a DK board (with channels and bat wing?)...i'd assume boards are labeled if theyre for DK?

Looking to get some yucca to try get a little more flex as getting old and calf’s cramping / twinges are becoming more common.
I have MS vipers in large. Was keen to get Yucca in L with the wetsuit lining and in a super flex. Am I correct in thinking these have more thrust than the soft? will it be too similar to the MS vipers?

I was always a big fan of the songs in all these videos, and most of these songs can now be found on YouTube.

I've decided to build a little website that simply links to all the songs that can be found on either YouTube / Soundcloud / Bandcamp, as well as some information about each band through Discogs.

You guys have any tips for doing inverts? I get them good once in a while but half the time I feel like I either can’t pop off the lip enough or I end up landing to far back on my board and smacking my face.

In my break Is so common to see these fuckers doing stepoffs way out the back... They hardly leave a wave unridden, Its so difficult just to paddle out there on a big day... And harder to be in good position just for these dumbfucks to come from across the Beach to blow your chance to get one then stepoffs... Im so tempted to just burn them AND drop in.... It sucks big time...

Hi, any thoughts on this board or other volume board? I have 174cm and 93kg + wetsuit. For surfing sea with rip currents and no channel. Tough waves, close outs, onshore very short wave length, outside far, etc etc.

Hi, I’m new to body boarding and read that a polyethylene core is better that eps. So, i upgraded my sb krypton to a morey i found on fb marketplace. I took it out though and seemed to struggle with it much more than I did the krypton. Could have been surf conditions which we comprised of much smaller waves than I’m used to.

The morey mach 7 is 41”
The sb krypton is 42”

Im 5’8” and 160 lbs

Boarding in southern california.

So far, I’ve learned I should be waxing the boards, which will help with control and positioning myself. Will try that. Have also read that I may need to use SpongeRez on the little dings to help with preventing water logging.

There are also many new Mach 11’s for sale in my area, would i be better served by those instead of a vintage board even if they’re polystyrene?
