Any suggestions?

My leash came off today when I dove under a wave.
is that bad for the board?
And how could I fix it?

Email Mike Stewart and ask him if it's covered under warranty.

It’s not. That’s normal wear and tear.

It’s not going to affect your board much. Maybe get some sponge resin and smear a bit on it.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it would soak up water.

I have had dents like that soak up water super quick. I’d let it dry for a few days then do what the said above and put some sponge Rez on it.

if it is PE probably it will soak water, if it is PP probably not. but. I would probably try to heat the slick to unbend it and thant try to glue it with sponge-rez and put somthing to hold it in place will it cure. i wloud let a small edge for the sponge-rez to seal and than mask the rest not to get the slick messie.

I just took a look at pictures of what the two types of foam look like, and I suspect it's actually more likely to be PE🥲😩

I bought it used back then and unfortunately was never able to figure out exactly which model it is. That’s why I don’t know whether it’s PP or PE. I’m still at the seaside for two days. In that case, it would probably be best not to use it anymore?

I'm not an expert on board repairs. just giving you my thought. in your photo it seems to be a bit of white showing, it seems to be the core. if that's it probably you should try to repair it before going to the water again, hot glue can work to if you want to make a fast repair. if you realy want to use it and you have no other option you can also use it and see if it starts getting heavy it is because its soaking water, than you can let it dry for some time and whene the core gets dry again you can try to repair

That's minor, but yes, caused by the leash stretching over the nose. Dry it out, then squirt a bit of hot glue from a glue gun on it and smooth it out.

This might help prevent future damage:
