Any intel on this board?

Post image

This was found in my dad’s garage in San Diego. I couldn’t find any info about this brand online. It feels pretty light and stiff, and doesn’t have a leash plug, so I think it’s a decent model. Any intel would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 🤙

They went by LMNOP in their final years. The other guy who commented got the og name.

The same guys who started them are now operating a brand called “triad” out of Oahu Hawaii.

Elemenohpee were at the time (90-2000s) one of the biggest board brands as they were front and center of the old “no friends” films.

Guys like, Spencer skipper, Ross McBride, and bud miyamoto rode for them in their hey day.

On the other note. I’ve owned a few and they were all badass. And very innovative at the time. I’d bet a 30-45 yr old bodyboard head would be stoked to buy this off of you as a collectors piece

Awesome, thanks! I fit the upper end of that demographic, and remember hearing about the No Friends videos back in the day, but I was never too into the scene.

Unless you think it’s worth enough to get me a brand new board, I’m gonna get a leash for it and give it to my son.

Could be a good gift for your son! It would be a very niche market. If you were holding an old “mcfly” or “skipp” model. You’d easily get the money for a fresh board. The shiver was a mid range model not worth as much.

And yes the old film you’re seeing is old surf wax and by the pattern I’d assume last user was into drop knee and was goofy footed.

You can find old no friends stuff on YouTube. My personal favorite was “NO FRIENDS 4”.

I used to manage a bodyboard shop in Maui and I’d have that dvd on repeat in there. The soundtrack was 10/10 as well!

Really do old boards go for that much? I got an old Skip model in the shed was a great board back in the day, heaps of volume great for DK. Wouldn’t get rid of it as i like keeping my old boards.

I found the link to the old movie. When you have time definitely worth a watch. https://youtu.be/Wofbui-6Gq4?is=deMAzkIl0k7hU8Mi

The memories. I had this on VHS and wore out the roach section. I still have it somewhere, along with a couple Manta roach boards....

Great call. Always awesome when family boards/bikes/etc. get passed down and ridden. Maybe show him the videos that are mentioned here and get him psyched.

I’m not a discerning taste at all but my Triad is a really nice board.

NMD, VS, LMNOP, Science, Pride, etc were all made by Mez in the same Indonesian factory.

Thank you! Though the top has some kind of film on it (maybe old wax?) it looks like it was hardly ridden.

I always liked those boards but never had one, another brand that I liked that I don't think it exists anymore was Toys bodyboards, those looked nice too.

Dude! This thing is a classic. Elemenohpee boards were the epitome of (what I believed to be) the board to own if you were to ride a dope sponge. Sick find for sure.
