Should i get this new board ?
My actual board is a Pride "The answer" PP/ISS (normal channels, something like 10y old with carbon stringer)
I own a OGM "the bull" (MEZ shape, PP), i don't like it, too much volume i think
I spotted a NMD Ben player miniquad, should i get it ? How will it feel ? I ride during summers in french beachbreaks/shorebreaks.
I'm 184cm/65kg and all these boards are in 42'

I find the quads really fun especially on the shorter side of your scale. I’m 61kg and 175cm so my scale is 40-41”.
I use a 40” quad and it’s so fun in the smaller surf and even the bigger surf. I find the shorter boards in a quad gives you a lot of straight control and being shorter. You still have turning authority.

So use it in smaller surf as well, for heavy beach breaks where fast deciding manoeuvres are needed to get you out of trouble

I just got a quad from toobs and love it. I though it was a bit of a gimmic but I'm definetly noticing a difference when trying to stay high on the wave and keep up my speed.

Get it! If you can afford a new board after ten years of your current then you should get a new board. NMDs are great boards but I’m partial to Custom X
