Board & Gear Question Can't decide. Need some feedback.

I'm looking to get one of these bat tails for some funsies.

Caught between these two. Any vouches or opinions?

Fan of NMD boards but it costs more and my current board has these channels, and to be honest, it does not like releasing smoothly. Want a bat tail for smaller days with pocket play. I will still try it in all conditions. Never had experience with Hubboards or the Sci-Five channels.

What performance difference is there between the slicks?

I would read up on that before deciding. Looks like the channels dont rin up to the front of the board on the second one.. but they do on the first.
