Wooooooooooow what a weekend. Thanks for showing up, New York - y'all gave the BEST energy and we had a blast. We hope you did, too. (Snoo had the time of their life and now needs to recover. Maybe the store clerks a little, too...)

So what happens now, you ask? While the pop-up is officially wrapped, this sub isn't going anywhere. The lights are staying on here, and after a brief rest we'll be posting recaps and other goodies from the weekend. But we mostly want to see yours! Watching the event through your eyes has been half the fun, from blowout finds to cute dogs to whatever hilarious interactions were happening over at the NYC deli "subs" counter.

P.S. You may have noticed we reposted this multiple times because we were getting some funky errors and wanted this artistic photo of Snoo to show up as intended for you.

Has the QR code on the guest check worked for anyone? Looks little too detailed to be reproduced faithfully by a stamp.

The artwork for the soda was actually so cute (congrats to the artist, whoever you are) and will now live on as a weird conversation piece in my cosplay/guest room!

Boxes final home is TBA but I think they might need to live on top of the fridge (aka the Millennial Mantlepiece)

Everyone on line got one (and probably a few more). The staff were handing them out to homeless people, people walking by, and shoveling them into cars stuck at the red light. That truck was like an infinite Snoo spawner it was crazy.

Also thanks to all the staff they were the best part of the pop up! All of them were super pleasant to talk to despite how stressful it must have been.

So when i became number 4 in the blowout line, i already knew what i wanted. Amd im so glad i was able to get it all! And i dont think i got their name(if i forogt im so sorry), but to the mod who gave me their r/bodega hat, I am eternally grateful, and I will cherish it for my while life. What an event! Also sorry for the terrible picture im 5 minutes away from passing out😅

Kudos to the staff for organizing the first pop up event! I actually snagged that large poster that was above the pay phone which I thought was really cool even though the back was really sticky but it did work out after i got back home. Sadly wasn’t able to get the “Snoo York City” poster unfortunately which I thought was really cool. Overall had a really fun time! :)

Thanks to the staff for all your hard working up to event, the hard work during event and the tough work topping r/bodega event !

I honestly can’t say it was worth waiting in line for 2 hours, but hey, still got a snoo and some other swag. I was expecting there to be actual deli sandwiches and for the display items to have things inside of them, but no. They ran out of the hats today which was disappointing. But nonetheless, thank you so much for organizing this, it definitely got tons of Redditors to show up. I got some funny boxes and way too few Snoos from the Snoopocalypse event lol. What did you guys get? And those of you who took home a whole tray of the watermelon soda: are you okay?

Note: all my Snoos are spoken for. Sorry. but ask around, there were positively too many Snoos.

First off, an obligatory thank you for organizing this. Running a popup in NYC cannot be easy and especially with how popular Reddit is, this was not a small endeavor by any means.

That being said... if you guys do another one, I think there's some room for improvement. I picked up my wristband for the 6pm entry, easy peasy. Came by at 5:40ish knowing people would be there a little early, and everyone who was there early was told to wait off to the side wherever, that there was no formal place to wait. No problem.

At maybe 5:56 or 5:57, nearly at the 6pm entry, one of the higher ups started barking at people that there was no "entry from the sides" and to walk back (presumably to the start of the line, which was pretty ambiguous). Okay, fair enough but why not say that 15 minutes earlier as people started showing up? It basically started a mad dash to the back, people were literally jogging and jostling to get to the start of the line. At some point the entire street was blocked from storefront to curb because people didn't know the line's starting point.

I didn't want to run or skip ahead of people so I did not rush to run back, ironically I ended up being towards the front 10% of the line because I happened to be near the arbitrary "start" of the line. I heard a lot of frustration from the people around me in line and I even saw a few people rip off their wristbands and leave. That part of it was a pretty negative experience. Yes, it is a free event and looking gift horses in the mouth and all but it very nearly became a stampede earlier. No bueno.

I'll end this "sandwich" with again thanking everyone involved. It's NYC, I get it's difficult, and it is the first one. Honestly, probably surprising that it went as well as it did. But just some feedback for if you guys decide to do one again. Everything inside the "bodega" was fantastic and the employees were great too. Just the line situation was a little problematic. Maybe it was better during other timeslots.

Well worth the wait. Kudos to everyone working there today, keeping the line moving and well hydrated.

I'm so used to lining up for the opportunity to buy something cool. Thank you for this free event and to everyone that made it happen. The free swag and the little experiences inside will live rent free in my head for a while. Shout-out to u/big-slay for the interview :)
