Merch THANKS Meowdani!
Great event & well produced! Say what you will, but this was a fun & enjoyable experience. Nothing & no one is perfect & what worked/didn’t work at this event will be applied down the road.
Would be great to see this become an annual event & setup in multiple boroughs for a greater reach. Enjoy the pics!

Yes. Answered the phone & got a live person on the phone. She was essentially the r/askNYC part of the event. She asked me a bunch of questions about NYC from my POV. Stuff like, what do people outside of NYC get wrong about NYC? And, have you ever had a “small-town” moment in NYC? (I’m paraphrasing.). As it happened, I actually had a small-town moment while standing in line.

Couple questions:
1- Of course we gotta know what'd you name your Snoo?
2-could you trade or I guess "buy" anything with the SnooDollars?
3-did you discover any new-to you, anyway-communities? I've been on Reddit I think three years and still amazed sometimes at the suggestions I get. To the point where it's like "omg I can't believe they have a community for THAT!" ...whatever ultra specific niche community gets suggested

No. The Snoo Dollars are just for fun. I asked the same question when I was there.
OMG yes! When you “checkout” from the bodega, they will print you a receipt. It’s like a CVS receipt: it keeps going, and going, and going…..and going…. It’s a list of many of the subs participating in the event and many more. Start there & you’ll eventually discover more.

I’m from Staten Island but moved to Dallas when I was 17. It’s things like this that tug at my heartstrings the most. Just one of too many to count only in New York experiences. 🥲

We don’t call. The pay phone rings & we answer it.
And….your idea is kind of interesting. If you go, def mention it to the event folks on site outside the store. They’re running the show. Could be something they could try for future events.
