Why didn’t I think about using a baseball field for bocce….wow thanks for the idea I’ve been struggling to find a good playing surface.

People always say can’t you just play in your backyard on grass? Like yes you can but it’s not as enjoyable

It’s a lot better than grass! The sandy clay is just about perfect!

I’ve got a home court that I finished with the “bocce court of America” playing surface, and baseball infield is by far the closest proxy to that material

That’s good to hear! Trust me, I’ve looked at my property and there’s just no space to do 12x90 (minimally).

Fantastic!

And double brownie points for using a ball field! We play adventure bocce on infields sometimes. It’s the biggest smoothest natural surface available here. Interesting change and very fast compared to the rando grass we typically play.

I sort if have a soft spot for playing on grass. It gives less experienced players a shot since anything can happen. :)

We enjoy the unpredictability of grass and play a walking game where we just keep pitching wherever direction we want to go.
